There was never something wrong with you. There was something that happened to you.

My work is rooted in lived experience. I am a trauma survivor, and my approach has been shaped by years of navigating survival, healing, and the long, messy, and imperfect process of coming home to myself.

Since childhood, I’ve lived with anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. My twenties were marked by panic attacks, chronic health challenges, emotional overwhelm, and a deep sense of disconnection and self-doubt. It was exhausting, and for a long time, I believed something was fundamentally wrong with me.

I tried it all: talk therapy, medication, countless doctors and diagnoses. Still, nothing truly helped. I was told again and again that something was wrong with me, that it was “all in my head,” and that I would just have to manage it for the rest of my life. I now know that I was being treated inside systems that did not understand trauma, the nervous system, or what happens when a body has had to live in survival for too long.

At my rock bottom, I didn’t want to be alive anymore. I felt hopeless, disconnected, dissociated, and deeply tired. Tired of trying to hold it all together.

Long story short, a treatment center, somatic work, an amazing therapist, a supportive community, and my own fierce commitment to myself and my healing saved my life.

Slowly, I began to see the world with new eyes. Colors looked brighter. My thoughts felt clearer. I started to realize that it’s not actually normal to live with constant tightness in your chest, to feel numb, or to be stuck in survival mode every single day.

I know what it is like to feel like you cannot keep going, like the weight is too much.

Please know this: you are not broken. There is and never was something wrong with you. Your nervous system adapted to help you survive. Through somatic work, we get to gently meet the parts of us that learned to hold pain, stay vigilant, or go quiet in order to keep us safe.

When the body feels safe enough to complete what was interrupted and give voice to what was once silenced, healing unfolds naturally. And a beautiful, meaningful life becomes possible.
